Accessibility

How we make this site work for everyone, plus the display options you can use.

Florida Playground Equipment wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who rely on assistive technology, keyboard navigation, or display settings such as larger text and higher contrast.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice in its guidance on web accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the standard that public schools, parks departments and other government bodies in Florida are required to meet for their own digital services.

What we do

  • Pages use meaningful headings, landmarks and link text so screen readers can navigate them.
  • Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and a visible focus outline shows where you are.
  • Images that carry information have text alternatives.
  • Text and interface colours are chosen for sufficient contrast, and text can be enlarged to at least 200% without loss of content.
  • Animations respect your operating system's reduced motion setting.

Display options

The accessibility button in the bottom right corner of every page lets you increase text size, switch to high contrast, underline links, use a plainer typeface with wider spacing, and turn off animations. Your choices are saved in this browser and apply across the site. The same options are available on this page.

Third-party content

Some product catalogs, drawings and documents on this site are produced by the manufacturers we represent. If you cannot access one of these files, contact us and we will provide the information in another format.

Tell us about a problem

Accessibility is ongoing work. If something on this site does not work for you, or you have a suggestion, we would like to hear about it. Let us know which page you were on and what went wrong, and we will do our best to fix it and to get you the information you need in the meantime.
